Democracy is a core value of NCPC. We promote citizen's engagement as a set of values and principles for greater participation, equality, security and prosperity, an environment that respects human rights and fundamental freedoms, and in which the freely expressed will of people is respected and exercised.
We appoint Provincial PAC Leaders to promote Civic Engagement or Civic Participation, in order to select NCPC Local District PAC Leaders for our 338 federal electoral districts. The Community Leadership Program (CLP) is at the core of what we do. Our grassroots movement is one that recruits and train local leaders in each federal electoral district, region, or community, to become future Members of Parliament (MPs), through collective action from the local level to effect change at the local, regional, and national or international level.
Local leaders are highly committed, well-informed professionals who are close to the issues and their actions include voting, volunteering, participating in group activities. The Community Leadership Program (CLP) is a unique platform that allows citizens to volunteer as Community Leaders (CLs), while also engaging in online training and workshops to develop the necessary leadership skills as successful 'Community Leaders'; thereafter winning federal elections. Leaders motivate others to achieve something new and better.
We promote citizen's engagement. Our Media and Communication platform focuses on the impact of media in the creation of meaning, identity and social change. Community engagement helps local governments to promote sustainable decisions. Community engagement helps governments improve the efficiency, legitimacy and transparency of their decision making.
Our goal is to ensuring that our members have up-to-date information on legislation, political activities, elections and government policies, in both political and non-political actions. Community outreach programs are avenues to bring growth to society and the people around us, raise social awareness on sensitive matters, and become a means of providing new, innovative solutions to health, and socio-economic challenges.
The Voter Information Service provides information about your electoral district | Le Service d'information à l'électeur vous renseigne sur votre circonscription.
Political Action Committees (PACs) are new to Canadian federal politics and are federal corporations, and can spend up to $150,000 on third-party advertising.
Elections Canada, The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, is the independent, non-partisan federal agency responsible for elections..
We promote citizen's engagement as a set of values and principles for greater participation, equality, security and prosperity, an environment that respects human rights and fundamental freedoms, and in which the freely expressed will of people is respected and exercised.
